Friendship is something special,
it can not be bought or sold
Its value is far greater
than any silver or even gold………..
As I walk through life,
I look at all I have done.
I had wandered aimlessly,
And wondered what I have become………….
There were times that I used to cry because I didn’t think that I belonged.
There were times that the days passed by and for your love I longed.
I didn’t even know you;
You’ve been out of my life for fifteen years………
While you weren’t here
I cried every night
A million tears fell
Still my heart wasn’t right
While you weren’t here
I did what I could
Hoping against hope
My decisions were good…………
We sometimes complain that times are rough.
Money is tight and the going is tough.
The problem of life seems to conspire
To shake you, break you, and drag you through mire
It’s a tradition to rise up to conditions…………..
If you could see inside of me
I wonder what you’d think.
Would you ask the question,
Oh how can this be?
This Sister so confident………….
My role model,
Is beautiful in body and soul,
Is intellectual, but fun
Will let me call and leave silly messages on the answering machine………….
Piles of snow all pushed aside,
Little children going down the slide.
A rainbow with its pot of gold,
All of these are stories once told.
So many days have quickly passed
and he has now grown old.
But the memories will forever last,
Of stories that once were told……………..
DO YOU EVER THINK OF ME
AS DAYLIGHT TURNS TO DUSK?
AND ALL THE WORLD IS QUIETED
THE STILLNESS BRINGS A HUSH……………
